Worth County is located in North Central Missouri. It is named for William Worth, an officer in the Mexican-American War.
The seat and largest city are both Grant City. Worth County has the lowest population in Missouri.

It borders Harrison, Gentry and Nodaway Counties in Missouri; as well as Ringgold and Taylor Counties in Iowa.
US-169 is the only major highway in this county.
